1900’s House Addition & Remodel
Competition: 2nd Place
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
This project involved remodeling the existing living, dining, and kitchen, adding a sunroom to the rear, and planning a future second story addition for bedrooms. The owner wanted to retain the existing character of the early 1900’s house while making it modern and efficient. To retain the charm of the house, the second story addition was designed to look like it was part of the original house. The bay windows were introduced to bring more daylight into the new spaces.
