Traditional Second Floor Addition & Remodel
Competition: 1st Place – Unbuilt
Location: Scarsdale, NY
This project adds a second floor and remodels the first floor of a 1950’s era ranch home. The house is under architectural guidelines which restrict how much of the second floor can be visible from the street. The second floor is nestled under the roof and uses dormers to maximize square footage and daylight reducing the visual impact of the second-floor addition from the front.
