Game Ranch Lodge House
Competition: 1st Place – Unbuilt
Location: Texas Hill Country
This project was to design a new lodge, carport, and entry tower, which connects to an existing lodge via a breezeway. The new lodge utilizes a simple form for the building mass and incorporates the familiar "dogtrot" house which is a historical precedence found in Texas. Practical and durable materials are selected such as corrugated steel siding, standing seam metal roof, flat metal panels, and wood siding. All these materials are commonly found in both traditional and modern buildings creating a contemporary rustic feel.
